P&O Cruises
P&O Cruises pride themselves on everyday being different and full of new experiences. Their history is rich, having been sailing the seas for over 170 years. Their style is distinctly British with a relaxed feel of a holiday which has been tailor made for you.
On board there is an array of entertainment facilities including pools and spas, bars, gyms, cinemas and theatres among many others. Their dining options are particularly renowned for providing choice and a multitude of venues which range from silver service dining rooms to Michelin-starred chef cooking just for you, including Gary Rhodes, Marco Pierre White and Atul Kochar. So much to choose from, your only decision is where to start!
The choice doesn’t stop there. In 2010, P&O Cruises will offer 208 destinations throughout 74 countries. These include the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Baltic, the Norwegian Fjords and the Canary Islands and beyond. The best part is, you can choose to explore these spectacular destinations by yourselves or choose from one of many organised excursion. Freedom and exploration at your fingertips.
Designed specially for the British cruiser, P&O Cruises sail from their home port of Southampton but also offer fly-cruises from ports around the world. So whether you’re looking for more time at sea before you get out and about exploring, or wanting to get right into the heart of the action, they have a cruise to suit you.
There are seven superliners in their fleet, including Azura and Ventura, their newest additions, which give you a wide range of choice from fun and contemporary to classical and traditional.
Meet the fleet:
Arcadia – A child free ship with a classic cruise feel. What makes her unique is the features she has on board including a three tier theatre, a fine dining restaurant which spreads over 2 decks and exterior glass lifts which give you views out to the ocean. Gary Rhodes created the Arcadian Rhodes restaurant, or The Orchid restaurant offers an oriental flavour.
Artemis – Another child free ship, Artemis is smaller, meaning she can dock in places other cruise ships can’t. The experience is also quieter than others, making her popular with experienced cruisers who are looking for something different from their cruise. Playing on the British theme again, there are some real traditional favourites going on such as afternoon tea, shuffleboard and formal evenings where you can dress to impress. The added bonus on Artemis is that all staterooms offer ocean views.
Aurora – If french chic and cosmopolitan glamour is your thing, then look no further. With water cascading down the atrium and sunsets galore from the crows nest, life couldn’t get more sophisticated. If you prefer something a little more active, the gym and golf simulator are just right for you.
Azura – The newest superliner in the fleet, Azura combines all aspects of what P&O Cruises customers love about them. Formal nights are combined with laid back evenings for those looking for a mix of glamour and spontaneity. You can enjoy open air massages with outstanding views of the world or enjoy a meal at the restaurant themed by Michelin star chef Atul Kochar. The wine tasters among you will love The Glass House where you can sip vintage wines selected by expert Olly Smith. A perfect mix of east meets west.
Oriana - An elegant, modern ship with a range of entertainment to suit all tastes day and night. Watch live sporting events in the Cricketers Lord Tavern, a west end production in the theatre or relax and unwind in the Crow’s Nest. Fantastic cuisine is available in the main dining room with impeccable service or maybe opt for the Oriana Rhodes restaurant for that special occasion.
Oceana – Full of personality and life, Oceana gives you that real holiday feel straight away, which is ideal for first time cruisers. All age ranges are catered for on this sociable ship. You just can’t beat dinner under the stars and five choices of main restaurants. For the young at heart, how about a game of tennis in her funnel?
Ventura – The largest of the fleet, Ventura is non stop action for families and couples alike. Whether you're with the kids or in a couple, you can find your own space to enjoy what you love doing, being together and enjoying your holiday. Marco Pierre White makes his debut at sea in his restaurant, tribute acts grace the stage at night and live bands rock your night away.
